A Leadership Challenge for Storytellers!
Get ready for a fun-filled challenge where creativity meets learning! In All the World is a Stage, participants will take a scene from a classic children’s book or nursery rhyme and incorporate the Beta pillars to teach a meaningful lesson.
What’s the Challenge?
Pick a beloved scene from a classic children's book or nursery rhyme and incorporate at least TWO of the Beta pillars to help teach an important lesson to the audience. Whether it’s character, leadership, service or achievement, your mission is to bring these values to life in a fun, engaging, and educational way.
Props, Costumes, and Creativity
The more creative, the better! We encourage props and costumes to help bring the story and the lesson to life. This is your chance to step into the shoes of your favorite characters and showcase your Beta performance skills!
How It Works:
• Make Your Selection: Choose a scene from a children’s book or nursery rhyme that resonates with you.
• Teach A Lesson: Incorporate at least TWO Beta pillars into the scene to teach a valuable lesson.
• Props and Costumes: Dress up and bring the scene to life with small handheld props and costumes in a performance worthy of an Academy Award!
Challenge Guidelines:
1. Team Size: 5-10 students for the performance
2. Time Limit: 3 Minutes
3. Materials: Dress up in costume to bring the story to life. Props need to consist of small items that are handheld. No backdrops.
4. No Power: No electrical outlets, internet or projector will be provided.
5. Music is allowed. No recorded voices.
6. The performance area will be 12’x12’.
7. SAFETY -Water, paint, liquids, sand or other materials that can create a mess are not allowed.
8. SAFETY - Balloons, hay, fog machines, liquids, live animals (excluding service animals), dry ice, sand, peat moss, or fire/open flame are prohibited by National Beta and the facility.
9. SAFETY - Metal or wood may not be used. Photo/Video Studio background stands and Pop-up portable canopy tents are prohibited.

• Those that qualify will have the opportunity to present at National Convention.
Elementary Betas are eligible to compete in Elementary competitions only.
Junior Betas are eligible to compete in Junior competitions only.
Senior Betas are eligible to compete in Senior competitions only.
Spectators are allowed with space permitting.
