Onsite Only Competition

Club Competition

The Marketing and Communications competition allows three to five students to demonstrate creativity, communication skills, and marketing strategies. The campaign should exhibit the team’s ability to collaborate, problem solve and think critically to develop an effective presentation. 

A club may have only one entry.

Elementary Betas are eligible to compete in Elementary competitions only.


Junior Betas are eligible to compete in Junior competitions only.


Senior Betas are eligible to compete in Senior competitions only.

Elementary

Develop an initiative to focus on one of the following in  your town, city or school: Early Childhood Development programming for Head Start ages 3-4, After School Music programming for grades K-5 or entering grades K-5. Promote the initiative in a variety of ways by incorporating the four pillars of National Beta.

Junior 
Develop an initiative to provide support for the vulnerable population from one  of the following in your town/city:  senior citizens, people with disabilities, or low income families. Promote the initiative in a variety of ways by incorporating the four pillars of National Beta.
Senior
Develop an initiative to promote healthy behaviors for one of the following in your school, town or city: chronic disease prevention, mental health or substance abuse. Promote the initiative in a variety of ways by incorporating the four pillars of National Beta.


Competition Guidelines

  • A team of three to five students will develop a marketing campaign using the prompt. 
  • The marketing pitch must not exceed two minutes. Presentations may include, but are not limited to iPads, laptops, handouts, storyboards, etc. There will be a ONE minute Q&A following the presentation.
  • Electricity/outlet and internet connections will not be provided. 
  • Tables will be provided.
  • SAFETY - Metal or wood may not be used in the presentation. Photo/Video Studio Background Stands are prohibited.
