State Conventions include onsite only competitions and online only competitions. In the event that a state convention has to be virtual only, all competitions will be offered virtually.
Types of Competitions:
- Onsite Competition = A competition that can only be completed at an onsite convention.
- Online Competition = A competition that will exclusively be conducted virtually.

Team Competition - The top 8 teams from the written test will advance to the oral rounds onsite.
Performing Arts
Club Competition - A club may participate in both Solo, Duo, Trio and Group.
Performing Arts Group will have two categories - Small Group (4-12 students) & Large Group (13+). You may have one entry in EITHER Small or Large Group.
Performing Arts Solo, Duo, Trio will have four categories - Dancer, Instrumentalist, Vocalist, & Variety Act. You may have one entry in ONLY ONE category.
Quiz Bowl Oral Rounds
Team Competition - The top 8 teams from the written test will advance to the oral rounds onsite.
